              <h3 class=\"wtl-text-title\">LANGUAGES OF THE BORDERLANDS<\/h3>\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body\"><p>Walking. A group of strangers from\u00a0many Alpine countries.\u00a0Curiosity\u00a0is\u00a0in the air,\u00a0also\u00a0the quiet tension of beginnings. Forests, meadows. Peace. Step by step, forward. Along the way, numerous stones that man has carved to give them meaning: a border. The languages on the signs along the way change, but the meaning of the written words remains similar. Somewhere there are inscriptions in German, elsewhere in Italian, and in between there are words that mean nothing in either of these two languages. But they indicate the presence of another language: Slovenian. In retrospect, the fact that three major language groups meet in this area\u2014Slavic, Germanic, and Romance\u2014inspires me, and I wonder how many other (similar) places there are where languages intertwine in this way. For me, this is a treasure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body\"><p>When talking to an innkeeper and a shepherd, they both tell me: \"Here, each of us knows a little\u00a0bit of\u00a0Slovenian.\" There is a kind of sparkle and satisfaction in their eyes that they have the opportunity to show this part of themselves. It was nice to hear the dialect of this area. It is not \"standard\" Slovenian, but the language of this\u00a0very\u00a0speci\ufb01c area, a living heritage. This makes me wonder: how many people could re-establish or reawaken this skill if people who speak this language were to visit this area more often \u2013 and not immediately abandon it because it is easier and because we Slovenians often adapt very quickly to larger, \"stronger\" languages that are so close to us because of our small size and global demands. Fact: just as in nature, where biodiversity is a sign of resilience, diversity in culture is also a source of strength, not weakness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                  <\/article>\n                                                                                                              <article class=\"wtl-text-block\">\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body\"><p>If walking for hours was a necessity for our ancestors \u2013 a means of survival \u2013, today it is a pleasure for many of us who live in a privileged world. The same goes for moving slowly, without rushing, with our senses open to nature and a willingness to meet others. In a world of neoliberal capitalism that takes away our time \u2013 for humanness and coexistence \u2013 such walking is becoming a valuable form of resistance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body\"><p>A conversation with a farmer who is striving to preserve one of the \"forgotten\" villages\u00a0gives me hope. Hope that more people like him will be found. That awareness will spread, like a snowball, that different ways of life are possible. Perhaps even healthier ones, as they are more connected to the rhythms of nature and fellow human beings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body\"><p>I hope that future generations will be able to create different, new concepts and systems that are not based on domination, but on respect for diversity, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence. Of course, this \ufb01rst requires an awakened consciousness and an understanding of the fact that the greatest and most deeply rooted boundaries are in our own minds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                  <\/article>\n                                                                                                              <article class=\"wtl-text-block\">\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                              <h3 class=\"wtl-text-title grey\">JEZIKI OBMEJNIH OBMO\u010dIJ<\/h3>\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body grey\"><p>Hoja. Skupina neznancev z vseh vetrov. V zraku je radovednost, tiha napetost za\u010detkov. Gozdovi, travniki. Mir. Korak za korakom,\u00a0naprej. Dan za dnem. Med potjo \u0161tevilni\u00a0kamni,\u00a0ki jim je \u010dlovek s klesanjem pridal pomen: meja.\u00a0Na tablah ob poti se jeziki izmenjujejo, toda pomen napisanih besed ostaja podoben. Nekje so napisi v nem\u0161\u010dini, drugje v italijan\u0161\u010dini, vmes se prikradejo \u0161e besede, ki v nobenem od teh dveh jezikov ne pomenijo ni\u010d. A\u00a0nakazujejo prisotnost \u0161e enega jezika: sloven\u0161\u010dine.\u00a0 Retrospektivno me dejstvo, da se na obmo\u010dju sre\u010dujejo tri velike jezikovne skupine: slovanska, germanska in romanska, navdu\u0161uje in spra\u0161ujem se, koliko je \u0161e tak\u0161nih (podobnih) krajev, kjer se jeziki tako prepletajo? Zame je to bogastvo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body grey\"><p>Ob pogovoru z gostilni\u010darjem in pastirjem mi oba s povesta: \"ampak tukaj vsak od nas zna malo slovensko.\" V njunih o\u010deh nekak\u0161na iskra in zadovoljstvo, da imata prilo\u017enost pokazati tudi ta del sebe.\u00a0Lepo je bilo sli\u0161ati dialekt tega prostora. To ni \"standardna\" sloven\u0161\u010dina, ampak jezik\u00a0tega to\u010dno dolo\u010denega\u00a0prostora, \u017eiva dedi\u0161\u010dina. Ob tem me preplavi misel: kolikim bi se ta ve\u0161\u010dina lahko znova utrdila ali prebudila, \u010de bi se na tem obmo\u010dju ve\u010dkrat zna\u0161li ljudje, ki ta jezik govorijo \u2013 in ga ne bi takoj opustili, ker je tako la\u017eje in ker se pogosto zelo hitro prilagodimo ve\u010djim, \"mo\u010dnej\u0161im\" jezikom, ki so nam zaradi na\u0161e majhnosti in globalnih zahtev tako blizu.\u00a0Dejstvo: tako\u00a0kot v naravi,\u00a0kjer je biotska pestrost znak odpornosti, je tudi v kulturi raznolikost vir mo\u010di, ne \u0161ibkosti.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body grey\"><p>\u010ce je bila ve\u010durna hoja za na\u0161e prednike nuja \u2013 sredstvo pre\u017eivetja \u2013 je danes za mnoge, ki \u017eivimo\u00a0v priviligiranem svetu, prej redkost. Tako kot po\u010dasno premikanje, brez hitenja, z odprtimi \u010duti do narave in pripravljenostjo za sre\u010devanja. V svetuneoliberalnega\u00a0 kapitalizema, ki nam\u00a0jemlje \u010das \u2013 za \u010dlove\u0161kost in sobivanje,\u00a0postaja tak\u0161na hoja dragocena oblika\u00a0upora.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body grey\"><p>Pogovor s kmetom, ki si prizadeva ohraniti eno izmed \"pozabljenih\" vasi, mi daje upanje. Upanje, da se bo na\u0161lo \u0161e ve\u010d takih ljudi. Da se bo \u2013 kot sne\u017ena kepa \u2013 \u0161irilo zavedanje, da so druga\u010dni na\u010dini \u017eivljenja mogo\u010di. Morda tudi bolj zdravi,\u00a0saj so\u00a0bolj povezani z ritmi narave in soljudmi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body grey\"><p>\u017delim si, da bi prihodnje generacije zmogle ustvariti druga\u010dne,\u00a0nove koncepte ter sisteme, ki\u00a0ne gradijo na nadvladi, ampak na spo\u0161tovanju raznolikost, sodelovanju in mirnem sobivanju. Skupina neznancev z vseh vetrov. V zraku je radovednost, tiha napetost za\u010detkov. Gozdovi, travniki. Mir. Korak za korakom,\u00a0naprej. Dan za dnem. Med potjo \u0161tevilni\u00a0kamni,\u00a0ki jim je \u010dlovek s klesanjem pridal pomen: meja.\u00a0Na tablah ob poti se jeziki izmenjujejo, toda pomen napisanih besed ostaja podoben. Nekje so napisi v nem\u0161\u010dini, drugje v italijan\u0161\u010dini, vmes se prikradejo \u0161e besede, ki v nobenem od teh dveh jezikov ne pomenijo ni\u010d. A\u00a0nakazujejo prisotnost \u0161e enega jezika: sloven\u0161\u010dine.\u00a0 Retrospektivno me dejstvo, da se na obmo\u010dju sre\u010dujejo tri velike jezikovne skupine: slovanska, germanska in romanska, navdu\u0161uje in spra\u0161ujem se, koliko je \u0161e tak\u0161nih (podobnih) krajev, kjer se jeziki tako prepletajo? Zame je to bogastvo.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body grey\"><p>Ob pogovoru z gostilni\u010darjem in pastirjem mi oba s povesta: \"ampak tukaj vsak od nas zna malo slovensko.\" V njunih o\u010deh nekak\u0161na iskra in zadovoljstvo, da imata prilo\u017enost pokazati tudi ta del sebe.\u00a0Lepo je bilo sli\u0161ati dialekt tega prostora. To ni \"standardna\" sloven\u0161\u010dina, ampak jezik\u00a0tega to\u010dno dolo\u010denega\u00a0prostora, \u017eiva dedi\u0161\u010dina. Ob tem me preplavi misel: kolikim bi se ta ve\u0161\u010dina lahko znova utrdila ali prebudila, \u010de bi se na tem obmo\u010dju ve\u010dkrat zna\u0161li ljudje, ki ta jezik govorijo \u2013 in ga ne bi takoj opustili, ker je tako la\u017eje in ker se pogosto zelo hitro prilagodimo ve\u010djim, \"mo\u010dnej\u0161im\" jezikom, ki so nam zaradi na\u0161e majhnosti in globalnih zahtev tako blizu.\u00a0Dejstvo: tako\u00a0kot v naravi,\u00a0kjer je biotska pestrost znak odpornosti, je tudi v kulturi raznolikost vir mo\u010di, ne \u0161ibkosti.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body grey\"><p>\u010ce je bila ve\u010durna hoja za na\u0161e prednike nuja \u2013 sredstvo pre\u017eivetja \u2013 je danes za mnoge, ki \u017eivimo\u00a0v priviligiranem svetu, prej redkost. Tako kot po\u010dasno premikanje, brez hitenja, z odprtimi \u010duti do narave in pripravljenostjo za sre\u010devanja. V svetuneoliberalnega\u00a0 kapitalizema, ki nam\u00a0jemlje \u010das \u2013 za \u010dlove\u0161kost in sobivanje,\u00a0postaja tak\u0161na hoja dragocena oblika\u00a0upora.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body grey\"><p>Pogovor s kmetom, ki si prizadeva ohraniti eno izmed \"pozabljenih\" vasi, mi daje upanje. Upanje, da se bo na\u0161lo \u0161e ve\u010d takih ljudi. Da se bo \u2013 kot sne\u017ena kepa \u2013 \u0161irilo zavedanje, da so druga\u010dni na\u010dini \u017eivljenja mogo\u010di. Morda tudi bolj zdravi,\u00a0saj so\u00a0bolj povezani z ritmi narave in soljudmi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                          <\/section>\n                                  <section class=\"wtl-text-section\">\n                                            <div class=\"wtl-text-body grey\"><p>\u017delim si, da bi prihodnje generacije zmogle ustvariti druga\u010dne,\u00a0nove koncepte ter sisteme, ki\u00a0ne gradijo na nadvladi, ampak na spo\u0161tovanju raznolikost, sodelovanju in mirnem sobivanju.
